What is THC-P?
Tetrahydrocannabiphorol, or THC-P, is a rare cannabinoid that was discovered when a team of researchers isolated the compound from the cannabis plant. THC-P shares a striking similarity with Delta-9 THC on a molecular level.
From Neurogan’s website, they say this about THC-P: “...where the THC molecule has a pentyl chain (five carbon atoms), THC-P takes it up a notch with a heptyl chain containing seven carbon atoms. This might seem like a minor difference, but the shape of the cannabinoid significantly affects how THC-P interacts with the human body.”
So thanks to the extended carbon chain, THC-P is believed to be stronger than THC, resulting in more potent effects.
Is THC-P Synthetic?
THC-P is a very rare cannabinoid in cannabis plants. It is found in such small amounts (less than 1%) that it is difficult to extract directly from the plant.
Most THCP on the market is made in a lab by converting other cannabinoids, such as THC or CBD, into THC-P.

Federal law considers THC-P legal under the 2018 Farm Bill.
Does THC-P get you high?
