What makes Perfect Plant™ Products different from other ones on the market?

Did you know that potency is the only testing that is required by law? In such an unregulated industry, we believe it's our responsibility to go beyond this basic requirement and test our products for pesticides, heavy metals, and mycotoxins. We hire a 3rd Party testing auditor (Saphe) to verify these lab results, for full transparency and traceability.

What is a Cannabinoid?

Cannabinoids are the chemical compounds made by the cannabis plant that unlock its many healing secrets. There are over 100 known cannabinoids and these chemicals imitate the endocannabinoids naturally produced by humans. Do you know the shiny crystals you see on cannabis buds? Those are trichomes and that’s where cannabinoids are stored. The top 6 cannabinoids are CBD, CBG, CBC, THC, CBN, Delta-8-THC

What is the Endocannabinoid system?

Great news! All mammals are equipped with a special system to use cannabinoids, called the Endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a grouping of millions of receptors primarily located in the brain and central nervous system.

What are CB1 and CB2 receptors?

The human body also produces cannabinoids of its own, and it has two receptors for cannabinoids, called CB1 and CB2 receptors. All cannabinoids, including CBD, produce effects in the body by attaching to certain receptors. The CB1 receptor is predominantly found in the brain and impacts our coordination, movement, pain, emotions, thinking, appetite, memory, and other functions. CB2 receptors are more common in the immune system and affect inflammation and pain. When CBD is introduced to the body, it is believed to interact with these receptors, encouraging our bodies to produce more of their own cannabinoids. This in turn leads to our body achieving homeostasis (equilibrium).

What is CBD?

CBD is short for cannabidiol, and is the most prominent phytocannabinoid found in the hemp plant. It is recognized for its multiple benefits for humans and animal companions alike. CBD is non psychoactive, is nontoxic, and taps into the receptors in the human endocannabinoid system, a vast network of receptors that help maintain the body’s overall wellness and support many physical processes

What is CBN?

CBN is short for cannabinol, known for its anti-anxiety and powerful sleep aid effects. Studies have shown CBN’s sleep aid effects to be bolstered by THC, which is why we pushed the amount of THC to the legal threshold in our Yin Formula. (insert Link)

What is CBG?

CBG is short for cannabigerol. It has been studied for its neuroprotective properties, anti cancer properties, and for issues related to digestion. It has also been shown to increase levels of anandamide, known as “the bliss molecule, in our bodies. Try our CBG flower (insert link) or our Yang Tincture (insert link) to experience the effects of CBG for yourself!

Full spectrum, Broad spectrum and CBD isolates... what's the difference?

At Perfect Plant, our mission is to serve and assist all who come seeking equilibrium in their lives, no matter their needs or situation. That’s why we work hard to provide all varieties of CBD, for all walks of life. There are different classifications of CBD products; full-spectrum, broad spectrum, and isolates. Full-spectrum hemp extracts are made when you extract the hemp plant and do not remove any plant material in the process. That means that full-spectrum extracts include the naturally occurring compounds found in the hemp plant. These compounds may include cannabinoids, terpenes, fatty acids, flavonoids, vitamins, and minerals. You may have heard about the hemp entourage effect, which is the belief that hemp products are most effective when they are made from full-spectrum extracts, as the chemicals in the hemp plant work together synergistically. Broad-spectrum hemp extracts are typically made using a full-spectrum extraction process, so all the good stuff that can help us become more balanced stays in, but the THC is removed. This might be a great option if you’re someone who would be drug screened. CBD isolates are created by a synthetic process of isolating the CBD from the hemp plant—again, a good option for someone being drug tested, although we much prefer broad and full spectrum products.

What is the Entourage Effect?

The hemp entourage effect is a term used to describe the synergy that exists when the different components of the hemp plant—including CBD, THC, terpenes, and more—work together. They all work their best when they play together. The best way to get the entourage effect is using full spectrum hemp products, however broad spectrum will still allow for a similar experience, just without those trace amounts of THC.

Is Medical Marijuana available in Tennessee?

Medical marijuana is not legal in Tennessee. No medical card is required when purchasing CBD Products. You must be 21+ to purchase Delta 8 products.

What’s the difference between Hemp and Marijuana?

Hemp and marijuana are both cannabis, but have a one key difference: THC (the compound that causes a euphoric “high”). Our products are sourced from federally legal hemp, which has high amounts of naturally occurring CBD and low amounts of THC (below 0.3%, that’s less than half of 1 whole percent). What is referred to as marijuana contains high amounts of THC and low amounts of CBD. While both types of cannabis can be used to produce CBD, only hemp-derived CBD was deemed federally legal by the 2018 Farm Bill.

What is Delta 8?

For those of you looking for a head change . . . This Delta 8 product will produce Psychoactive effects.” Delta 8 is one of over one hundred cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. Delta 8’s first cousin is Delta 9, also known as THC. “Delta 8 is highly contentious and slightly less psychoactive than Delta 9 THC.” Although Delta 8 seems to produce slightly milder effects than Delta 9, we recommend starting at a low dose to see how your body responds. Use Responsibly. Read Our Delta 8 Blog Post

*Delta 8 is legal in all 50 States except for Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Mississippi, Montana, Rhode Island, and Utah. Therefore we cannot ship Delta 8 Products to these states. You must be 21+ to purchase Delta 8 products.

Am I going to get high from taking CBD?

No, CBD will not get you high. It's non intoxicating. THC is the molecule that binds to receptors in our brain and is the one responsible for the psychoactive effects. In fact, CBD is antagonistic to the THC high; some research expresses its potential to prevent THC molecules from binding to the brain’s receptors (hence the reason it’s often used to subdue the “paranoia” effects of super-potent THC strains).

Do your products contain THC?

Yes, our full spectrum CBD products do contain trace amounts of THC. However, it is a negligible amount of 0.3% THC or less, and thus will not get you high as a traditional THC product would. We do offer THC free products (insert link to THC Free Collection) for those who have to be drug tested.

Will I fail a drug test?

The hemp that we source is full spectrum and grown in accordance with the 2018 Farm Bill. Therefore, our products will always be below 0.3% THC. Consuming even small quantities of THC regularly via a CBD product could potentially lead to a failed drug test. Research has shown that people who consume 6 mg of THC per day have a 25% chance of failing a drug test. This translates to about 2,000 mg per day of CBD oil with a THC content of 0.3% or less.

Can I take CBD while nursing?

We always recommend asking your doctor for any and all specific medical concerns you may have.

Scientists have discovered that cannabinoids exist naturally in breast milk, which can have a positive influence during pre and post natal child development. Read our blog on CBD & Pregnancy

Is CBD good for my pets?

CBD works for dogs and cats in the same way that it works for humans and is able to deliver on many of the same benefits.

How long does it take for CBD to take effect?

Smoking/vaping is the quickest way to instantly feel the effects of CBD. Tinctures can take effect within 5-15 minutes. Edibles can take up to 90 minutes to kick in depending on your metabolism.

How long do the effects of CBD last?

Smoking 4-6 hrs

Tincture 4-6 hrs

Edibles 6-8 hrs

Topicals 2 hours

How much CBD should I take?

Each individual person has an individual Endocannabinoid system that will register CBD in it’s own way. Experimentation is key in order to find what works best for you and your specific needs. We recommend starting slow, low, and consistent with your dosage, and build from there. Everyone has a different “dosage sweet spot”, the patience to find yours is worth it...enjoy the journey! For most people we recommend to start with a 25mg -33mg dose. If you are taking a tincture this would be one full dropper of 750mg -1000mg strength bottle. We’re always available to help if you have questions for how it can work best for you. To request a consultation, utilize our live chat option or email

How does CBD interact with my body?

CBD interacts with your body's endocannabinoid system and can help by inhibiting the enzyme that breaks down your body's endocannabinoids. This gives you a boost by increasing the number of endocannabinoids in your system.

What are terpenes?

Terpenes give each cannabis strain its unique smell and flavor profile, while also driving the effects of the cannabinoids.

I'm on medication, can I take CBD?

Since we are not medical professionals, we recommend that you consult with your physician or pharmacist prior to using any cannabinoids.

Do you provide third-party testing?

Each of our products is specially crafted using only the finest high-quality ingredients and infused with organically grown hemp. All products are third party tested for potency, pesticides, heavy metals, and mycotoxins. So you can rest assured that you are consuming safe and clean products.

Where do your smokable flowers come from?

Our flowers are from contracted indoor and greenhouse grows, in the middle TN area. We choose grow partners that have organic cultivation practices.

How do I take the sublingual tincture?

Each bottle has a 1ml dropper, and one full squeeze will dispense one full dose of the tincture. Dispense under the tongue and hold for at least one minute before swallowing. The largest capillaries in the body are located under the tongue, providing a fast and effective delivery of CBD to your system. For maximum efficacy, we recommend taking the tincture at least once per day. CBD has an accumulative effect, working best with daily use. If the desired effects aren’t noticeable, try a second dose of the tincture daily. However, if more than one dose per day is necessary for your needs, we suggest increasing the concentration to the next level for your next bottle.
